From October 5 to November 5, Videobrasil’s online platform features “Sacudimentos“, Ayrson Heráclito’s first virtual exhibition, which brings together 10 audiovisual works produced by the artist between 2004 and 2018, alongside a new video introduction.
According to Solange Farkas, director of the institution and also curator of the show, “Sacudimentos highlights the trajectory of an artist who activates the transformative meaning of the rites of African origin that resist to the colonial heritage.”
The exhibition also indicates a new move in Videobrasil’s history and the strengthening of its mission to democratize access to the production of the Global South by constantly rearticulating the contents of the collection, following the urgencies of each time.
