Strengthening our mission to promote the work of a new generation of contemporary Brazilian artists, we are pleased to present at the 11th edition of ArtRio the latest production of five artists who live and work in Rio de Janeiro in a booth specially designed for this year’s fair , alongside an exclusive selection of works by our 23 represented artists.
Among the works selected for a first presentation of our booth, we highlight: “A língua como um estandarte”, an emblematic work by guest artist André Vargas; Ayrson Heráclito’s new series “Drawings of Freeedom”; and the silk-screen print series “Let’s suppose we were in a free country”, by artist Ana Hupe.
New works by two young artists represented by the gallery, who will be at ArtRio for the first time, will also be presented: Maranhão-born and Belo Horizonte-based artist Pedro Neves, and Vitória (Espírito Santo)-based artist Kika Carvalho, who has been nominated for the 2021 Pipa Prize.

A new setting of our booth will be presented on the weekend, displaying a selection of new works by some artists represented by the gallery. Among the highlights, the painting on wood “At the impossibility of being“, by Carolina Martinez; “Vertigo nº4“, Deborah Engel’s most recent work; “Untitled“, a new composition mixing 3D prints and concrete, by Felipe Seixas; “In the middle of the encounter there was an island“, a new assemblage of carved pencils by Lin Lima; “On the threshold, I persist“, the latest work from the series “Flags“, by Solange Escosteguy; and a selection of pastel and graphite drawings taken from the series “Endocrinoides” and “Constipações“, by Raquel Nava.
