At the 12th edition of ArtRio, we brought together an exclusive selection of works by some of our represented artists, featuring new works by Ayrson Heráclito, Carolina Martinez, Déborah Engel, Élle de Bernardini, Gabriel Secchin, Gustavo Nazareno , Ismael Monticelli, Julia Debasse, Lin Lima and Zé Carlos Garcia; and also works from our collection by artists Ana Hupe, Claudia Hersz, Íris Helena, Mai-Britt Wolthers, Mano Penalva, Mulambö, Pedro Victor Brandão and Rafael Baron.
Two guest artists also presented works for the first time in the fair – Arthur Palhano and Sylvana Lobo.
For this edition, we have taken Ismael Monticelli’s painting “Palimpsest” as a starting point to design our booth, which will bring together multiple languages, techniques and supports. The presentation of the works will be guided by the presence of layers that reveal the matter in movement and transformation, moving across borders between utopia and dystopia, between the sacred and the profane.
