AYRSON HERÁCLITO IN GROUP SHOW THAT MARKS THE OPENING OF GALATEA SALVADOR

Artist Ayrson Heráclito takes part in the exhibition “Cais“, which inaugurated the Bahia wing of Galatea art gallery, in the historic city centre of Salvador.

Curated by Tomás Toledo and Alana Silveira, the group show brings together, in addition to Heráclito, other historical and contemporary names in Brazilian art, such as Aislan Pankararu, Emanoel Araújo, José Adário, José Tarcísio, Heloísa Joaçaba, Marlene de Almeida, Mestre Dicinho, Mestre Didi, Miguel dos Santos, Rebeca Carapiá, Rubem Valentim and Tunga. Paintings, sculptures and photographs are distributed in the four sections of the exhibition: Fauna and flora fantasies; Afro-indigenous and Brazilian geometries; Expanded masks and representations of Afro-indigenous and Brazilian religiosity and culture.

Heráclito presents a new sculpture from his series “Juntó“, which explores insignia and tools linked to the Candomblé pantheon, in dialogue with the idea of the conjunction of entities that govern us.
