Next Tuesday (19 October), we open in São Paulo – in partnership with gallery Janaína Torres and curator and educator Gisela Gueiros – “Polygons, porticos, matter and desire”, a group show curated by Cadu Gonçalves that proposes a dialogue between contemporary productions with the Latin American constructivist heritage.
Echoing in current practices, the exhibition points out the experimentation with geometry as one of the main points of connection between the works of artists Carolina Martinez, Mano Penalva, Heleno Bernardi, Marina Caverzan, Julia da Mota and Renato Rios, all linked to social, cultural, spiritual, astronomical and poetic fields.
This partnership aims to connect artists, curators, art galleries and other agents, as well as creating flexible formats for the public to engage with contemporary art.
Click here and download the PDF catalogue (in Portuguese only), which brings together information about all the works – including from our represented artists Carolina Martinez and Mano Penalva – as well as critical text by curator Cadu Gonçalves.
