ARTE+CARE #1 – PEDRO VICTOR BRANDÃO PRESENTS A NEW SERIES OF PHOTOGRAPHS

With cycle #1 of our ARTE+CARE program coming to an end this week, we present a set of new photographs by artist Pedro Victor Brandão.

Named Miniverses, the series is composed of details found within a domestic landscape. Utensils, food and medicines were illuminated with studio light and photographed with a macro lens, revealing shadows, reflections and textures that most often go unnoticed. As in other series developed by the artist, Miniverses includes a financial spread mechanism.

Each one of the images is unique and was printed only once, by printer Thiago Barros. At the time of purchase, the artist extends the right of ownership with the right to copy the works of this series: the collector also receives the high-resolution file authenticated on the OriginalMy platform, and can make additional copies in other formats and techniques.

If additional copies are monetized, a duty is formalized with the owner to reserve the profit at 35% for their own benefit, 15% for a publicly relevant non-profit initiative, 25% for Portas Vilaseca Galeria and 25% for the artist.

—————

ARTE+CARE is a program to support our artists and to help people and organizations with relevant actions and projects in the fields of culture, health and primary care. Series of unpublished works at affordable prices (r a from USD 250 to USD 900 each) were developed exclusively by our represented artists for the program, and each month, part of the sales will be donated to a different initiative.

For cycle #1, we chose to support Solar dos Abacaxis’ Emergency Collaborative Fund for Artists and Creators.

Next Saturday, we start the second cycle of ARTE+CARE, bringing a new group of artists and a new initiative assisted by the program. Kicking off cycle #2 is artist Iris Helena, who will present a new series of works. On the following weeks, we present works by artists Raquel Nava, Ana Hupe and Carolina Martinez.
