We are very grateful to everyone who has been supporting the ARTE + CARE program and its cause for the common benefit in such uncertain times. All 20 paintings from Mulambö’s “Disguise and Cry” series have already been sold in the first days of the program’s launch. And starting the second week of this cycle # 1, we present a set of new paintings from the series “Tramas”, by artist Mano Penalva.
The new works from this series preserve the artist’s investigation on the feeling of belongingness, linked to the patterns present in family crests and tartans. If in the previous works of the series there is a direct connection with everyday objects and three-dimensionality, here, amid an adverse scenario of social distancing, the painting sets the tone and points to a more contemplative response.

ARTE+CARE is a program to support our artists and to help people and organizations with relevant actions and projects in the fields of culture, health and primary care. Series of unpublished works at affordable prices (ranging from USD 250 to USD 900 each) were developed exclusively by our represented artists for the program, and each month, part of the sales will be donated to a different initiative.
For cycle #1, we chose to support Solar dos Abacaxis’ Emergency Collaborative Fund for Artists and Creators.
Artists Ayrson Heráclito and Pedro Victor Brandão will present their works on the following weeks. Cycle #2 will start in June with a new group of artists and a new initiative assisted by the program, and so on.
