Lives and works in Niterói, RJ, Brazil
The line is the starting point for Lin Lima’s practice. Through repetitive and rhythmic gestures, the artist builds his own visual poetics. Organic and intuitive forms emerge from the repetition of short strokes and simple objects, patiently fitted at the limit between drawing and painting, often taking place in walls or objects. An important element in his research is the pencil, which is part of many of his creations, approximating his works to kinetic art, neo-concretism and pop art. These works also include the repetition of gestures and the union of simple particles that give rise to organic and freely disciplined forms.
