DEBORAH ENGEL AND SIRI TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AN EXHIBITION IN RIO DE JANEIRO

Celebrating 27 years of partnership, artists Deborah Engel and Siri present for the first time a joint exhibition, in which they explore the intricate webs of everyday life and shared creativity. Curated by Marcello Dantas, ‘Arapuca – Tramas do Tempo e da Criação’ (Trap – Weaves of Time and Creation) opens this Saturday (July 8) at the Hélio Oiticica Municipal Art Centre, in downtown Rio de Janeiro.

The traps carefully constructed for the show symbolize not only the pitfalls and challenges that life as a couple can present, but also the beauty of interconnections and working together. Each piece is a visual metaphor for the intertwining of their personal and artistic journeys, reflecting moments of capture and freedom, tension and harmony. Moving through immersive installations, the public is invited to reflect on their own relationships and the dynamics of coexistence and collaboration.=

On view until July 9. Visiting times: from Monday to Saturday (12 pm – 6 pm). Free admission. Don’t miss it!
