Arriving today another publication in our virtual library! Take a look at “Ayrson Heráclito“, a special catalogue published by Blau Projects in 2017, following the artist’s participation at the 57th Venice Biennale – “Viva Arte Viva” – curated by Christine Macel. With extensive visual documentation, highlighting Heraclito’s trajectory, the publication also includes details of the works that the artist presented in Venice, “O Sacudimento da Casa da Torre” and “O Sacudimento da Maison des Esclaves em Gorée”, two performances exhibited in a videoinstallation. The first one took place in Salvador (Bahia, Brazil) and the second in Senegal – both evoking the memories of slavery, in an attempt to purge the stories of violence that occurred on these two shores of the Atlantic.
