Another publication arriving today in our library! Take a look at “OLHONOOLHO” (“Eye to Eye”), by artist Deborah Engel. 15 years ago, in 2005, Engel distributed 200 stickers with the image of one of her eyes to a diverse group of people. She asked that this “eye” should be placed (or glued) somewhere of their preferences, then photographed and sent back to the artist: an “exchange of looks”. Her eye became part of several landscapes, was used as a mask or incorporated into various objects. Designed by Andre Lenz, this publication was first printed in 2010 and is now available in PDF for a free download.
