Represented by Portas Vilaseca Galeria, Brazilian artist Ismael Monticelli presents the works “Corpo Estranho” and “Corpo Político” at the exhibition that brings together 5 artists awarded the 7th Marcantonio Vilaça National Industry Award 2019-2020. The show runs until 24.01.2021 at Alberto da Veiga Guignard Gallery, at Palácio das Artes, in Belo Horizonte (MG), and also features 20 works by Anna Bella Geiger, one of the most important Brazilian artists, part of the first generation of Latin American conceptual artists.
In addition to Monticelli, also showing their works are the award-winning artists Aline Motta (RJ), Dalton Paula (DF), Dora Longo Bahia (SP) and Rodrigo Bueno (SP). The jury of this edition includes art critics and curators Cristiana Tejo, Daniela Bousso, Denise Mattar, Fabio Szwarcwald, Marília Panitz, Paulo Herkenhoff and Marcus Lontra, curator of the Award. Each of the winners received a grant and the professional support of an art curator for one year.
Visiting times are from Thursdays to Saturdays, from 12 pm to 8 pm, and Sundays, from 4 pm to 8 pm. Entrance is free and access to the gallery space will follow all Covid-19 safety protocols. More information at: www.fcs.mg.gov.br
