Our represented artist Julia Debasse is one of the highlights of the “Art Wall” project at Shopping Leblon, where she is presenting (until 10th October) the installation “Selva Papelão (The Amazon)” on a 10m wide wall, in collaboration with Carol Dantas.
By proposing the forest as a crowd, Debasse reveals a heterogeneous habitat in which different times, species and regions exist together. The cardboard chosen as support for the paintings transcends its modest and ordinary nature to reveal a rich and unique universe. A fauna and flora enthusiast, the artist promotes with her jungle a sui generis reunion, connecting science, geography, history, music and art.
For those who live in Rio de Janeiro or are visiting the city, don’t miss it on the 1st floor of the mall, which is located at Avenida Afrânio de Melo Franco, 290. Visiting times are: Mon to Sat, 10 am – 10 pm; Sun, 1 pm – 9 pm. The Art Wall project is curated by Christiane Laclau, from Artmotiv.
