Three of our represented artists had their works selected for the exhibition “Casa Carioca“, at Museu de Arte do Rio – MAR. From 22nd September onwards, the show will be open to visitors, with a limit of 60 people per time slot (10 am, 2 pm and 4 pm). Scheduling must be done in advance through the museum’s website. Running until September 2021, “Casa Carioca” brings together about 800 works around themes related to housing in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. The curators are Marcelo Campos, chief curator of MAR, and Joice Berth, architect, urban planner and activist in the black feminist movement.
Mano Penalva presents three works at the show: “Tribeira” (2019), the series “Bailarinas” (2019) and “Vitral” (2019). Raquel Nava shows her series “Azul por Tu/Blue for You” (2018), and Mulambö exhibits his objects “Garganta” (2019) and “As dificuldades de se manter os pés no chão” (2019), and also his installation “Gengiva”, all of them done in 2019.
For those who live in Rio and around, or are visiting the city, sign up on MAR’s website and check the instructions for a safe visit! In the following weeks, we will bring more works by our artists featured in the show.
