Supported by Portas Vilaseca Galeria, Aloisio Magalhães Museum of Modern Art (MAMAM) opens this Saturday (11), in Recife (PE), Mano Penalva‘s new solo exhibition, “Sala de Estar” [ Living Room ], which brings together 14 works, including paintings, objects and installations.
According to curator Wagner Nardy, Penalva “pays tribute to the original nature of this space, creating an exhibition that blurs the boundaries between so-called high art and popular art, between the intimate and the public, the artistic and the domestic, the inside and the outside, between contemplation and desire“.
