Represented by Portas Vilaseca Galeria, artist Mulambö has been invited by the curatorial team of Instituto Moreira Sales (IMS) to participate in the “Programa Convida – IMS Quarantine”, which brings together a series of commissioned projects in the areas of photography, cinema, music, literature, visual arts and graphic design, and made available to the public on the institution’s website and social media. About 50 professionals, including visual artists, writers, filmmakers and designers, were invited based on criteria that took into account the diversity of identities in Brazil. The projects do not follow fixed or rigid formats, and do not imply physical displacement or other forms of breach of social isolation measures put in place by the Government. The image highlighted displays details of the work “Um chinelo em um dia e o outro no outro” – part of Mulambö’s multi-language art essay project “Corrente de retorno”, which brings together photos, texts, video, audio and drawing. Stay tuned, the full piece will be available on the IMS virtual network next week. For more information, click here.
