PEDRO VICTOR BRANDÃO AT PIVÔ SATÉLITE PROGRAM – EDITION #4

From March 23rd onwards, our represented artist Pedro Victor Brandão presents a new work from his series “Slits in Depth” (2020/ 2022) in “Guided tour”, an exhibition curated by the curatorial platform aarea (founded by Livia Benedetti and Marcela Vieira) for the edition #4 of Pivô Satélite program. “Untitled #3” is a 3D stereographic photo collage that was minted as a non-fungible token (NFT) on async.art platform and dynamically relates indoor and outdoor spaces.

During the entire exhibition period, anaglyph glasses that allow the work to be seen in depth can be picked up free of charge at Pivô’s reception. And until April 24th, visitors who want to participate in the the giveaway of the NFT can follow detailed instructions at https://www.pivo.org.br/en/satellite/

The curatorial proposal of “Guided tour” seeks to establish correspondences between the digital space and the physical space of Pivô, located in the Copan building, in São Paulo. Pedro Victor Brandão, Júlia Rocha, Gabriel Massan and Gabriel Junqueira participate in the exhibition, in projects that alternate on Pivô’s website.

Pivô Satélite is a project room within the institution’s website. Its program is designed by invited artists and curators and comprises artistic proposals in various formats, designed especially for digital media.

“Guided tour” premiered in February 2022 with the project “Terrarium”, by Gabriel Junqueira, an animation made with architectural modeling and simulation software based on the floor plan of Pivô’s main exhibition room. “Terrarium” also works as a background for experimental insertions by other artists participating in the exhibition.
