We are pleased to announce the commercial representation of Brazilian artist Pedro Neves.
Born in the city of Imperatriz (Maranhão) in 1997, he lives and works in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais). Neves seeks through his practice to represent the daily life and the signs that embody Brazilian people and the cultural complexities that comprise them. His work has been built through painting on different supports and dimensions, analog photographs and ceramic sculptures. The artist also investigates the Brazilian identity and its relations with the outside world, with the colonization and the consequences left by this period in the country’s social reality and imaginary. Neves believes that his identity construction is directly linked to his artistic process – both in constant transformation.
Welcome to Portas Vilaseca Galeria, Pedro!
