The copy arriving today in our virtual library is “A Quinta Renda”, a 2016 publication based on the project “Lastro Centroamerica”, which brought together artist Pedro Victor Brandão and curator Beatriz Lemos in a research residency in Panama City, in March 2015. Taking four key words for guidance – #economy, #speculation, #counter-surveillance and #urbandevelopment – Brandão reflects on the country’s political landscape a few weeks before the Summit of the Americas and one year before the #PanamaPapers, featuring images alongside five written reports.
