NÁDIA TAQUARY APRESENTA “ONÁ ÌRÍN: CAMINHO DE FERRO” NO MUNCAB EM SALVADOR
11.29.2024

Following a successful season at the Rio Art Museum (MAR), the acclaimed exhibition “Oná Ìrìn: Caminho de Ferro” by artist Nádia Taquary now arrives at the National Museum of Afro-Brazilian Culture (MUNCAB) in Salvador. The opening event, part of the “Salvador Capital Afro” program, takes place this Saturday, the 30th, starting at noon.

Curated by Marcelo Campos, Amanda Bonan, and Ayrson Heráclito – feat. a soundtrack by Tiganá Santana and Virgínia Rodrigues – the exhibition celebrates the sacred feminine, drawing on the ancestral strength and beauty of Afro-Brazilian culture. Taquary highlights Creole jewelry as well as Nagô and Yoruba traditions through a rich array of sculptures, sculpture-objects, installations, and video installations.

Don’t miss it!
