Artist Júlia Debasse is taking part in the exhibition “Body, Memory and Fiction”, on view from Sep 13 – Oct 11, at Largo das Artes, in Rio de Janeiro.
Curated by Cecília Bedê, the show also brings together Fava da Silva and Andy Villela, in an encounter that highlights different gestures of painting.
Known for creating works based on written narratives that unfold into images imbued with mythology and speculative fiction, Debasse engages in the dialogue proposed by the exhibition, which explores how body, memory, and imagination intertwine in the construction of possible worlds.
